Loki / Diana PSL Plotting Post

How the timelines from both canons mix for easy reference.

Timeline.

1918 - WWI has ended. Chief is a Demi-God - Napi. Chief introduces Diana to Loki, prince of Asgard, on Midgard (Earth). Attempt to show Diana that she's not the only one of her kind on Earth. They meet at one of the vegetarian restaurants of the time. Shhh, Loki likes vegetables, don't tell anyone. :D She fascinates Loki and thus starts a unique friendship.

1942 - WWII is raging. Loki has kept an eye on Diana with the help of Heimdall. He sees what is going on and goes to the realm of Midgard to fight with her. If Thor can win honor as a warrior, why can't he? Would also be a good timeline/plot point if any Captain America muses want to play this out with Loki at some point on a meme. Not only does he want to win honor as a warrior, but a part of him wants to win favor with Diana. Diana does take him shopping for some dapper suits.

The Eastern Front of the war was from 1941-1945.

1969 - Woodstock. Loki drags Diana there because he loves a good party with debauchery.

1972 - Ziggy Stardust Tour Dates for 1972. Loki and Diana go see Bowie. Unknown how many dates/venues, but minimum of at least once. Bowie is so pretty, Loki wants to find out if he's Asgardian.

1980s/1990s - Somewhere in there, New York City probably... Loki would want to check out the pretty/androgynous scene there, feeling like he could fit right in.


2012 - Battle of New York. Long story short? Diana is pissed

2016 - Diana (sort of) reenters the fight. Loki's probably gonna have a lot to say on the subject of Doomsday

2017 - She contacts him regarding the whole Steppenwolf situation. Also about Superman since Kryptonians are not so good with dealing with magic. Bruce is not happy.

Some point during the Second World War they are fighting together - I see it being Eastern front again (so German-Russian border - Diana commenting that she always seems to end up here)

Disney Parks - though that one feels like it's been more recent? They both enjoy Haunted Mansion.

8th October 1985 - Diana had gotten hold of tickets for the opening of Les Mis. Loki happened to be around so she took him with her.

There's probably been a case of fighting together again during the Cold War? And maybe some one off cases here and there against enhanced beings/aliens/etc.

Loki would wonder if Bowie is an Asgardian because he's too pretty.

Loki would love Les Mis ends without a happy ending. "that's realistic"

Cold war we'd have to narrow down to a year or a couple years. Cold war goes from 1947 - 1989/1991 depending on where you fall in history, which view you agree with.

I'm trying to think of an event that was likely to have them at it, otherwise.... probably towards the end - though we need an event in the 50s they meet during as well...

I would love to have her meet with him after the battle of New York, but I just wasn't sure where to put that on the timeline since Thor took him back to Asgard. He'd have to run into her when he's hiding Odin.

Oh, he will have lots to say, but I don't think he'd feel too keen on Batman. "So which part of him is the bat...?" :D

Yeah, it's probably going to be when he's taking Odin to Earth and putting him in a retirement home tbh. I always think it's kind of hilarious in Ragnarok that no one recognizes him but then I did realize something - save for the people at the opera in Germany? No one should recognize him. It's not like there were cameras on him during the Battle, so he's still able to wander Midgard in relative anonimity.

Oh gods, it would be hilarious to see Loki vs Bruce (especially with the hints DCEU Bruce is ... fond of Diana)

(Hilariously DCEU is the one time I don't ship it. I'm more inclined to Arthur/Diana in DCEU because I thought their particular dynamic was more interesting. I mean, granted I don't ship it-ship it, but if you asked me a ship I preferred, I'd say that. Honestly, my favourite dynamic is Diana and Barry hanging out and being sibling like friends)

(No, I agree. Steve was perfect and if Steve were still knocking around in that time period there would be no question of it. I legit want to work out a way for him to be there though obviously not for this AU since Trevor would knock the dynamic significantly)

I also think that, for as HARD (heh) as Loki may have been trying to 'get' with Diana, he will NOT be successful. I think they've known each other a long time and there should be a LOT of tension that's unresolved. Thoughts?

I'd... actually agree? I think the nearest it probably came to happening in the past was ... probably at one of those gigs they attended.

If it's actually going to happen - it's likely after either Justice League (with him coming and helping out even though he didn't have to. yes, she asked but she's asked stuff before and he's likely not done anything) or post Ragnarok where he's kind of ... more at ease with his life? (YES WE WILL AU THE HELL OUT OF INFINITY WAR)

(Because I cannot get the image out of my head of Loki introducing Diana to Thor, and Banner decides to be a little shit and mock Loki's chances by pointing out Thor is the "seductive" god of thunder.)
